Biennial Conferences

PCAU is a national association which was established in 1999 and registered as an NGO in 2003 to support and promote the development of palliative care providers, thus palliative care in Uganda.

PCAU organises biennial conferences within Kampala to:-

  • Bring together palliative care stakeholders to share experiences, lessons learnt and together map ways of further scaling up palliative care services in Uganda.
  • Raise up awareness of palliative care needs for all ages of people and vulnerable groups so as to extend care to all in need while ensuring provision of quality services.
  • Enhance collaboration and networking among palliative care stakeholders in Uganda.
  • Share progress in the PC services provision and raise one voice to advocate for integration and mainstreaming of palliative care services in the health care systems.
