The PCAU Research Agenda (RA) provides focus and direction for Palliative Care Research and
strategic information by the Palliative Care Association of Uganda (PCAU). The development
of the research agenda was accomplished through a consultative process covering a wide
range of stakeholders and is aligned with the PCAU strategic plan (2022-2026), APCA’s 2020-
2030 strategic plan and Uganda Ministry of Health’s specific objective four of the HSDP 2015-2020
The RA is a basis for research, resource prioritization, and information sharing and will
provide evidence-based solutions to PC service provision. Working in partnership will be
central in achieving its objectives.
