Dr. Elizabeth Namukwaya is a Medical Doctor. She holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, a Master’s Degree in Internal Medicine from Makerere Medical School, and a Diploma in Palliative Care. She has been practicing in palliative care for the last 16 years, initially with Hospice Africa Uganda and later with Makerere Palliative Care Unit and Palliative Care Education and Research Consortium. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at Makerere University and an honorary lecturer at the Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care in Africa. She is involved in collaborative research locally and internationally with APCA, the University of Coimbra, Sheffield, and Oslo University.
