Dr. Victoria Walusansa-Abaliwano

Deputy Executive Director, Head of clinical services and Consultant Medical Oncologist, Uganda Cancer Institute

Dr. Victoria Walusansa–Abaliwano the Deputy Executive Director, Head of clinical services and Consultant Medical Oncologist at Uganda Cancer Institute, Uganda.

Victoria holds a Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine (MMed) from Makerere University.

She is a Hands-on, patient-centered, and outcome-driven doctor with over 12years of experience in Medical Oncology. She has an unwavering passion and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of cancer patients especially women and keeping the Hope of a cure for cancer alive.

She leads the Breast cancer service at the Uganda Cancer Institute. She is a strong believer in the vision that “Together we shall conquer Breast cancer on the African continent”. She is a passionate and unashamed advocate of cancer patient’s rights especially the right to affordable and decent health care.
