Program Officer Road to Hope
Lydia Nakawuki is a Program Officer at the Palliative Care Association of Uganda (PCAU) heading the Road to Hope program that supports child caregivers taking care or were taking care of their sick parents/guardians to attain formal education. She has worked with PCAU for two and a half years and has three years of work experience in Palliative Care and working with children.
Her role is to oversee and manage the general activities of the program, coordinate with all stakeholders, oversee the budgets, generate reports among others.
One thing she loves about PCAU is the teamwork among staff members. PCAU has a lot of work to do in ensuring that palliative care is implemented in the different areas of the country which is implemented by a small team of people at the secretariat.
Lydia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University.
