Rinty Kintu
Consultant, American Cancer Society
Rinty is a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree, specialized in oncology, infectious diseases, and in access to health care. She has been working for the last 15 years on access to pain relief, palliative care, and cancer treatment both in Europe as well as in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Rinty has vast experience in improving access to health care, both in rural communities as well as major urban hospitals within Uganda. With both her experience in clinical service as well as policy development she is able to be the bridge the gap between patients, health workers, and government institutions.
Rinty is the director of KIWI Development Consultancy and has been working over the last 5years as a consultant for the American Cancer Society’s Treat the Pain program and Global Cancer Treatment program. In this capacity, she supports governments and cancer treatment centers of 12 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to improve access to pain relief and access to cancer treatment.
