The Bible Society of Uganda officials hailed the PCAU team for the historical Annual General Meeting that was held on 27th May 2022 at Fairway Hotel in Kampala.

In a cheerful evaluation on 2nd June 2022 at Café Tenda in Bwebajja Entebbe Road, Ruth Ikiriza Muhanguzi, the Membership and Relationships officer at The Bible Society of Uganda (BSU), heaped praises on the staff of PCAU led by their Country Director, Mark Donald Mwesiga for what she described as the most successful AGM she’d ever witnessed.

“It was such a colorful Annual General Assembly I’ve ever seen, you really had a great event I must say. I appreciate you and all the stakeholders. You gave us great honor. A big thank you to the PCAU Country Director and the team from The Bible Society of Uganda.” Said Ikiriza

The AGM that was conducted at Fairway Hotel witnessed the presence of stakeholders from across the country, including donors, civil society organizations, officials from several government ministries, local government, delegations from PCAU branch offices, and financial institutions, as well as well-wishers.

The Country Director PCAU thanked the stakeholders, including the Bible Society members for their support. He applauded his team for the continued Unity exhibited at the Secretariat and in all Association’s events.

“We look forward to putting in place the insights that were shared with us and strengthening those that we were weak at or paid no detail to, yet so significant. I know if we as a team practice what we learnt, and keep making it better, our events will slowly be a stress-free activity.” Remarked Fiona Karakire, PCAU’s Partnerships, and Membership Officer.

Palliative Care Association of Uganda worked with the Bible Society of Uganda (BSU) to reach families of palliative care patients for spiritual care and support in Kampala City, Mbarara, and Wakiso districts in 2020. They offered Bibles to the palliative care recipient families and food items. The two have enjoyed a rewarding mutual relationship over the years and they look to strengthen their bond through several engagements in the future.
