Join the Palliative Care Association of Uganda (PCAU)
Become a PCAU member and help us expand vital palliative care services across Uganda. Your membership subscription is crucial; it directly supports our work to reach more people nationally who need palliative care.
The PCAU membership is open to any person or organization involved in or interested in promoting and supporting the provision of palliative care services in Uganda. We currently have a diverse and growing community: Over 1,800 individual members and 38 member organizations.

PCAU Membership Categories
Individual Members
Individual Members are persons with an interest in palliative care whether they have professional experience or personal engagement in palliative care either within a hospice or palliative care service or unit, or a hospital/community-based service or not.
Honorary Members
Honorary Members are persons who the Board of Directors so appoint in consideration of their outstanding contributions to palliative care
Institutional Members
Institutional Members may be organizations providing palliative care services or committed to the development of palliative care within Uganda.
Non-Voting Members
Non-Voting Members are individuals or institutions who are interested in and committed to the development of palliative care in Africa but do not have operations in Africa.
Life Members
Life Members are persons interested in Palliative care and committed to the development of Palliative care in Africa and are able and willing to pay life membership fee.

Membership in PCAU offers significant advantages for staying informed and connected:
- Voting Rights at the Annual General Meeting
- Receiving PCAU Journal twice a year
- Receiving notifications of Palliative Care activities nationally and internationally quarterly
- Invitation to participate in Palliative Care activities at different levels
- Receiving a list of up to date PCAU members list regularly
- Support to attend Palliative Care conferences whenever possible
- Recommendation for funding where applicable
- Support for further education whenever possible.
