Dear PCAU Members, Partners, and Friends

We thank you for your unwavering support in advancing palliative care across Uganda. We especially thank all PCAU members at the frontline of palliative care, offering care at all levels —from the national to the community and family levels. We know how compassionate you are and how much commitment and effort you put into the patients and families you serve.

A new  Palliative Care World Map 2025 by the ATLANTES · University of Navarra has been released, showing Uganda as the only African country at the advanced level of palliative care development. We ponder these milestones and achievements as highlighted in the African Palliative Care Atlas 2025; we need to remember that we still need to do more to reach all the patients and families in need of palliative care in our country.

As 2025 ends, join our upcoming events: the final update meeting on November 28th at PCAU Offices and Regions, the PCAU Life Members assembly on December 2nd online, and the Annual Members Dinner on December 5th at Fairway Hotel in Kampala.
