PCAU Members Annual Get-Together 2025

The PCAU Members Annual Get-Together held on December 5th at Fairway Hotel concluded with heartfelt joy and a renewed sense of purpose. We extend our deepest gratitude to every member, partner, donor, and friend whose presence made the evening truly meaningful.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere radiated warmth. Dressed in elegant African-inspired attire, everyone brought colour, pride, and unity to the celebration. This cultural vibrance beautifully echoed our shared commitment to compassionate care across Uganda.

A highlight of the evening was the announcement of PCAU’s transformative new milestone: bringing palliative care skills and education directly into schools. This initiative is built on a simple truth: compassionbegins with awareness. By equipping children and youth with early knowledge on empathy, care, and support for those living with serious illness, we are nurturing a generation grounded in dignity, comfort, and community responsibility.

We were honoured to celebrate outstanding individuals and institutions whose dedication to palliative care continues to inspire hope nationwide. Their awards and recognition reflect the gentle strength, unwavering service, and resilience that define palliative care in Uganda.

As we look toward 2026, we embrace our theme:
“Empowering Children and Youth to Engage and Strengthen Compassionate Communities in Uganda.”

With a fundraising goal of UGX 100 million, PCAU aims to expand palliative care clubs in schools and inspire community-driven care for all people facing illness and vulnerability.

We express sincere appreciation to all members who renewed their membership for 2025 and to those who supported PCAU’s initiatives throughout the year. Your engagement continues to move our vision forward.ur regional champions and partners, thank you for your consistency, compassion, and resilience in service delivery. Together, we are building compassionate communities that stand with people during illness, suffering, and life’s most difficult moments.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. With your steadfast support, we remain committed to ensuring that every person, young or old, receives care that honours their dignity and brings comfort, connection, and compassion when it is needed most.

This Christmas, as we reflect on the gift of compassion, we wish you and your loved ones peace, hope, and joy. May the spirit of Christ’s love continue to guide us in providing comfort and care to those who need it most, bringing light in moments of challenge and reassurance in times of vulnerability.
