Message from the Executive Director

Dear PCAU Members and Friends,

Thank you for your continued support of the work of palliative care in Uganda. As we head to the last quarter of 2024, I appreciate your compassion as palliative care providers across Uganda partners and donors. We have lined up events to commemorate the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day 2024. As you join the national celebration, please share a message about palliative care on your social media status or timeline. Someone out there needs to know. Recently, the Ministry of Health sent a request for support towards developing a National Palliative Care Strategy for Uganda. The strategy will enable a better planning and implementation framework for the service. I thank all of you who are participating in interviews and writing articles for the PCAU Silver Jubilee Magazine. The deadline for submission is 30th October. Thank you too for those who have availed time and expertise to the podcast recordings on *amplifying pain management in Uganda*. We are all looking forward to this PCAU Podcast. Since the year began, we have registered over 200 PCAU new members and subscriptions. Thank you for choosing to join PCAU during our 25th anniversary.
